Important Expedia TAAP COVID updates

Dear Affiliate,

  

Since our last update, the government travel restrictions, advisories, flight cancellations, and the many other impacts and risks arising from the COVID-19 outbreak have reached a global scale. This has impacted the ability of people everywhere to travel, regardless of the circumstances in their location or their destination.

As a result of these now global force majeure circumstances, and for the safety of our partners and travelers, EPS is expanding the following force majeure “flex policy” to all lodging bookings worldwide that were made prior to March 19, 2020, with stay dates between March 20, 2020 and April 30, 2020. [1] This covers all bookings check-in after March 19, 2020 and before May 1, 2020. 

  

Over the next couple of days, many non-refundable lodging bookings with flexible cancellation policies will now be cancellable and refundable through Expedia TAAP, allowing you to self-serve bookings and eliminating the need to call our contact centers.   

  

1.    Managing refundable bookings: We have created a guide on how to amend or cancel a refundable booking on Expedia TAAP, the guide can be found here.  To view a traveler’s booking details, follow these five steps:   

One: Select ‘Manage trips’ from the top navigation bar

Two: Pick the first option from the menu ‘itineraries’    


Three:
Choose the upcoming trip from the list of bookings

Four: Select whether to ‘change’ or ‘cancel’ the booking reservation

Five: Amend the booking or review the cancelation policy before progressing.   

 

Please note that although bookings subject to flexible cancellation policies will become refundable, cancellation penalties 24 hours before check-in will still apply.  We encourage you to take regular and prompt action on cancelling eligible bookings.   

 

2. For non-refundable bookings with a stay date later than April 30, 2020 (which therefore do not meet our flexible refund criteria) or any other bookings you cannot self-serve: Please email BPG@poweredbygps.com

NCL Updated Peace of Mind

Dear Travel Partners,

I hope you are staying healthy and sane. Remember to keep hydrated and get a good amount of sleep in to keep your immune system up!

Three things to focus on-  Updated Peace of Mind, more discount for your clients and more commission for you! Ongoing promotion, get ALL 5 FREE even with inside cabin. And finally, a virtual sales bootcamp tomorrow!

1. Update -NORWEGIAN’S PEACE OF MIND Policy 
It remains our intent to keep you updated during his incredibly fluid climate.  All of us at NCL truly appreciate your continued efforts and partnership throughout this time.

As you know, on March 13, we announced our decision to voluntarily suspend cruise voyages through April 11, 2020.  This measure was taken in an abundance of caution and we plan to commence cruise operations with embarkations beginning April 12, 2020.

Here are some important reminders and updates for you to know as we move into this week:

Suspended Voyages:  March 13 – April 11, 2020

  • Guests who had active bookings on cruises with embarkation dates from March 13 through April 11, 2020 will receive a full refund of their cruise fare in the form of a future cruise credit which can be applied towards any Norwegian Cruise Line voyage through December 31, 2022.
    • Additional FCC Amount:  As an added incentive, guests who choose to reschedule their vacation will receive an additional 25% or 50% future cruise credit, dependent upon their embarkation dates.
      • 25% applies to embarkation dates from March 18 – April 11, 2020
      • 50% applies to embarkation dates from March 13 – 17, 2020
    • 20% DISCOUNT:  As a bonus, we are offering affected guests the ability to use their FCC, along with a 20% discount off published fares for voyages from July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022. All affected guests must book their future cruise once their FCC is applied to the guest profile and by no later than April 10, 2020.
    • BONUS Commission:  As an added thank you to YOU, our travel partners, in addition to your regular commission, we are extending a 5% bonus commission for these new bookings.
  • Guests who are not interested in taking advantage of the additional future cruise credit amount and discount, are able to request a full refund in the amount of the original cruise fare paid.  All refund requests must be received via the web form:  www.ncl.com/case-submission/peace-of-mind/, which is live as of March 23, 2020.  All refunds will be returned to the original form of payment ninety (90) days after the request for refund.

Peace of Mind Policy Voyages:  April 12 – September 30, 2020
Our temporary Peace of Mind policy is currently active and allows new and existing individual and group bookings embarking from April 12 through and including September 30, 2020 to cancel their booking up until 48 hours from the start of their vacation date and receive a 100% future cruise credit (FCC). The FCC may be used for sailings that embark on or before December 31, 2022 and the new booking must be made within one year of the cancellation date.

  • NEW – for all Peace of Mind cancellations with current FCC’s: 
    • 20% DISCOUNT:  As an added bonus for all Peace of Mind cancellations currently holding FCC’s (as of March 22, 2020), we are offering the ability to use their current Peace of Mind FCC, along with a 20% discount off published fares for voyages from July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022.
      • All affected guests must book their future cruise with their Peace of Mind FCC and by no later than April 10, 2020.
    • BONUS Commission:  As an added thank you to YOU, our travel partners, in addition to your regular commission, we are extending a 5% bonus commission for these new bookings.
  • NEW – for all active bookings from April 12 through June 30, 2020: 
    • 20% DISCOUNT:  For a limited time, we are allowing guests with current and active bookings scheduled to sail from April 12 through June 30, 2020, the ability to utilize our Peace of Mind policy in addition to receiving a 20% discount for new bookings that embark from July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022.
      • All affected guests must book their future cruise once their Peace of Mind FCC is applied to the guest profile and by no later than April 10, 2020.
    • BONUS Commission:  As an added thank you to YOU, our travel partners, in addition to your regular commission, we are extending a 5% bonus commission for these new bookings.
